The Hydraulic Cage Type Pipe Clamp features a wide clamp opening, allowing up to 90% of the root pass to be welded before the clamp needs to be removed. This ensures high efficiency and reduced downtime during pipeline welding operations. Edge misalignment can be corrected using integrated jackscrews or a wedge positioned beneath the alignment bridge, enabling precise external pipe alignment prior to and during welding.

The root gap can be accurately adjusted using a chisel mechanism. An optional hydraulic cylinder operates reliably in all positions and is suitable for the full pipe diameter range, providing consistent clamping force across various applications.

Hydraulic Cage Type Pipe Clamps - Versions

Medium-duty version

Due to the widely recessed bridges of the hydraulic external pipe centering, up to 90% of the root pass can be welded without loosening the centering. The edge offset is eliminated by driving the splitting iron under the obliquely chamfered bridges.

The product does not contain a hydraulic cylinder.

Heavy-duty version

The hydraulic cylinder works in a vertical position and can be easily changed, if necessary. The alignment bridges have ample clearance, allowing up to 90% root welding before the clamp is removed. For gas pipes (fine-grained steel) and for thick-walled pipes made of studio flat steel.
