Residual Oxygen Meter and Purge Monitor

Specially developed for flexible use on construction sites and in workshops, oxygen monitors function as residual oxygen meters, simplifying stainless steel welding by accurately displaying the oxygen concentration. Before measurements of the welding environment are carried out, the device must be calibrated to the normal oxygen concentration in air (20.9%). This is achieved by supplying clean air to the oxygen sensor. The calibration of the residual oxygen meter should then be verified by introducing a small amount of forming gas into the instrument. The meter maintains its calibration even if the device is temporarily switched off. However, calibration must be repeated at regular intervals to ensure consistent measurement accuracy. The instrument features integrated temperature compensation to guarantee reliable measurement results at the respective working temperature. Large and sudden temperature changes may temporarily influence measurement accuracy until the probe temperature has stabilised.
